Head of Engineering

Employment: full-time · Room Managment · Technical
This job opening is archived

We are looking for a visionary Head of Engineering to lead our technical team and spearhead a complete product transformation. You won’t just be maintaining systems; you will redefine our architectural DNA, slash Time-to-Market by half, and build a high-performance engineering culture from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Ownership: Lead the "Build vs. Buy" strategy—transitioning from vendor-locked platforms to scalable, proprietary microservices.
  • Process Transformation: Revolutionize our delivery pipeline to reduce TTM by 40–50% within the first year, moving toward on-demand releases.
  • Scaling & Leadership: Manage a multi-disciplinary team(Dev, QA, BA, PM), focusing on mentorship, talent retention, and reducing "key person" dependencies.
  • Operational Excellence: Guarantee 99.5%+ system availability and implement rapid-response protocols for our high-load, 24/7 environment.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years in software engineering and 3+ years in a leadership role managing teams of 15+ people.
  • Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend architectures.
  • A proven track record of aligning technical roadmaps with business goals and explaining complex tech to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience migrating from legacy monolithic systems to modern, distributed architectures without disrupting operations.
  • Familiarity with the Gaming/Poker industry, real-time systems, or high-load payment gateways is a significant plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle the pressure of critical system support (24/7 availability for emergencies).
  • English proficiency at B1+ level or higher.

Conditions

  • Remote 100%.
  • No bureaucracy, unnecessary calls and "let's discuss again".
  • A live startup where you can suggest, change and do, not "report and wait".
  • A strong team around - we like it smart, clear and to the point.
  • We play the long game - both with the team and the product.
